(ECNS) -- A 4.8-magnitude earthquake struck Gaoxian County in Yibin City, southwest China's Sichuan Province, at 7:44 a.m. on Thursday, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).

The epicenter was located at 28.51 degrees north latitude and 104.68 degrees east longitude, with a focal depth of 6 kilometers.
