Railway workers gear up for summer travel rush

（ECNS)-- Four additional regular-speed passenger trains will be put into operation between Chengdu and Chongqing from Friday to Sunday to precisely cater to weekend passenger flows during the summer transport peak.

To ensure the trains operate in top condition for short-distance weekend trips during the peak travel period, passenger train inspectors from the Chongqing North Train Maintenance Workshop of the Chongqing Rolling Stock Depot under China Railway Chengdu Group Co., Ltd. worked under the scorching heat to carry out inspections and maintenance on key components, including couplers and buffers, braking systems, and running gear, safeguarding the safety of train operations.
