(ECNS) -- Blacktip reef sharks have returned to the shallow waters off Wuzhizhou Island in Sanya, south China's Hainan Province, a seasonal event that reflects the continued recovery of the area's coral reef ecosystem.
Several sharks, measuring about 1.2 to 1.4 meters in length, have recently been spotted near the island's marine observation area. Their annual summer return is regarded as a positive indicator of improving reef health and ecological restoration.
