1 dead, 10 rescued after bulk carrier goes missing in Guangxi

(ECNS) -- One crew member was confirmed dead and 10 others were rescued after a bulk carrier went missing in waters off Qinzhou Port in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, local authorities said on Sunday. 

The vessel Zhonghong Fazhan lost contact at about 6 p.m. on Saturday in the outer anchorage area of Qinzhou Port, according to a statement from the Qinzhou maritime search and rescue center.

The cause of the incident is under investigation.
