Stronger ties between people's representatives needed as Kazakh envoy visited Shanghai Municipal People's Congress, experiencing people-centered urban governance.
Recently, the "Explore People-Centered Cities: China's Governance, Global Engagement (Shanghai and Jiangsu)" event, organized by China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, invited foreign diplomatic envoys to visit the Shanghai Municipal People's Congress, gaining an in-depth understanding of the achievements of China's urban governance practices.
Nurlan Akkoshkarov, Consul General of Kazakhstan in Shanghai, said in an interview that over the past year in office, he has personally witnessed Shanghai's healthy and rapid development. He hopes that China and Kazakhstan will take the opportunity of Shanghai and Almaty becoming sister cities to strengthen exchanges between the two countries' legislative bodies and people's representatives.
