Chinese team takes medical training to frontline clinics in Equatorial Guinea

(ECNS) -- The 34th Chinese medical team to Equatorial Guinea has combined free medical consultations with on-site training for local healthcare workers during a recent clinic at Luba Hospital in Bioko Sur Province. 

Ahead of the training, the team conducted a first aid session on cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), demonstrating key procedures and guiding local staff through practical drills.

During the clinic, doctors from multiple specialties drew on real cases, explaining diagnostic and treatment approaches while guiding them through clinical procedures.

Luba Hospital, despite serving as a provincial facility, has only three general practitioners and no specialists, often forcing patients with complex conditions to travel long distances at high cost.

Local doctors and interns said the training deepened their understanding of specialized medical knowledge and strengthened their confidence in treating patients.
