"The waves looked like dragons, and I immediately knew I had to capture them," said a local resident surnamed Zhou in Chongqing.
The billowing cloud formation was spotted above Gujian Mountain in Chongqing.
Known as Kelvin-Helmholtz instability, these rare wave-like clouds form when a faster-moving layer of air flows over a slower, rising layer beneath it.
Zhou said he hopes everyone who sees the clouds will be blessed with good luck.
