(ECNS) -- The 48th escort task group of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Navy arrived at the port of Chittagong on Wednesday to start a five-day goodwill visit to Bangladesh.
Carrying the national flags of both countries, Chinese Navy ships Tangshan and Daqing docked around 2 p.m. local time. More than 100 people welcomed the fleet at the pier, including Bangladeshi naval officers, staff from the Chinese Embassy in Bangladesh, and representatives of Chinese enterprises and overseas Chinese.
During the port call, the two sides are scheduled to conduct professional exchanges, ship tours, friendly sports matches, and a deck reception.
