(ECNS) -- Airbus has delivered the first aircraft from its second final assembly line in Tianjin, north China's port city, on Wednesday, with the A320neo aircraft handed over to China Eastern Airlines for operation.
The Airbus A320 family has a global production network comprising 10 final assembly lines, including four in Hamburg, Germany, two in Toulouse, France, two in Mobile, the United States, and two in Tianjin, China.
Since the Airbus A320 final assembly line in Tianjin began operations in 2008, more than 800 A320 aircraft have been assembled and delivered there.
Airbus' latest global market forecast projects China will need 8,830 new passenger aircraft over the next 20 years, accounting for more than 20% of worldwide demand.
