Serbian President Vucic pledges stronger ties with China

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said Tuesday at Tsinghua University that he "almost cried" when receiving the Friendship Medal of the People's Republic of China from President Xi Jinping the day before.

"It's a big obligation for me to invest even harder work into creating even better and stronger bonds with Chinese people, with President Xi Jinping, and with China," he added.

He said he hopes to achieve real progress for Serbia and be helpful to Serbia's ironclad friend -- China.
