Shanghai started processing applications for travel endorsements to the islands of Kinmen and Matsu across its 20 exit-entry reception halls, said the Exit-Entry Administration Corps of the Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Public Security on Wednesday.
Shanghai’s registered residents and Shanghai residence permit holders who plan to travel to Kinmen and Matsu can apply for a Mainland Travel Permit for Taiwan and individual or group travel endorsements for Kinmen and Matsu at any of Shanghai’s exit-entry reception halls by presenting their valid ID cards.
Shanghai’s registered residents currently in Fujian province may also apply for the above permits and endorsements at the exit-entry administration authorities of Fujian’s public security departments.
