Dunhuang, located in northwest China's Gansu Province, has ushered in a peak tourism season this summer. Traditional Chinese Dunhuang Flying Apsaras cosplay and riding camels have gained popularity among tourists.
Many tourists in the Mingsha Mountain Crescent Spring Scenic Area experienced camel trekking and took pictures in traditional Chinese costumes.
Nearly a hundred trip shoot studios have opened since this year, mainly focusing on the makeup and hair styling that represents Dunhuang culture.
Official data shows that Dunhuang has received 2.8 million visits since this year, an increase of 40.79 percent compared with the same period in 2019.
Local authorities have also taken various measures, such as adding flights and increasing tourism service facilities, to cope with the peak tourism season and provide high-quality service for tourists.
