China releases February's CPI and PPI

China's consumer price index (CPI), a main gauge of inflation, rose by 1.5 percent year on year in February, the National Bureau of Statistics said Saturday. China had set the CPI target for 2019 at 3 percent.

The country's producer price index (PPI), which measures costs for goods at the factory gate, edged up 0.1 percent year on year in February, according to the Bureau.
