(ECNS) -- China saw a continued improvement in public safety in the first half of 2026, with criminal cases falling 16.5% and public security violations declining 11.3% year on year, the Ministry of Public Security said on Friday.

Vice Minister of Public Security Qi Yanjun said China's security environment has attracted international attention, with some overseas social media users highlighting what they call China's strong "sense of security."
