Zheng Qinwen fires 13 aces to reach Athens quarterfinals

(ECNS) -- Chinese Zheng Qinwen beat Australian Elena Micic 6-4, 6-1 on Wednesday to reach the Athens quarterfinal.

Zheng dominated with 13 aces and secured the victory over the qualifier.

The win sends the Chinese star into her first WTA Tour quarterfinal since the Queen's Club Championships last year, marking a strong return to the last eight on the tour.
