(ECNS) -- Domestically developed innovative drugs accounted for 80% of new approvals in China in the first three quarters of 2026, according to a press conference on Tuesday.

Wang Weiming, chief engineer of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, said at the briefing that breakthroughs have been registered in pharmaceutical research spanning oncology, psychiatric disorders, anti-infection treatments, gout and rare diseases.
