(ECNS) -- Embodied intelligence robots are rapidly entering workplaces and daily life across northwestern China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
Launched on Sept. 16, the center is a flagship project of the region’s "AI+" initiative and its first one-stop robot service hub.
“While Robot 6S centers exist nationwide, the 9S version adds popular science study tours, tech talent training and brand support,” said Sun Xiukun, chairman of Xinjiang Future Times Technology Co.
More than 100 sets of smart devices in 25 categories are on display at the center. The devices have been tested and adjusted for use in various sectors.
“Phase II construction is in full swing and scheduled for opening in the first half of 2027. We will focus on rolling out embodied intelligence robots for local niche sectors including energy inspection, smart agriculture and smart cultural tourism guidance,” Sun said.
Separately, Xinjiang Dada Industrial Investment Co. in Urumqi is building a training and testing base for embodied-intelligence robots using shared and smart factory platforms. It is the region’s first company to combine R&D and testing of such robots.
“The full assembly line for embodied-intelligence robots will launch in April 2027. Once operational, it can deliver scenario-tailored, small-batch and multi-batch local production of such robots,” said Zhao Tianxiang, the firm’s deputy general manager.
