(ECNS) — Exports of services from northwestern China’s Qinghai province reached $15.26 million in the first eight months of the year, up 55.3% from a year earlier, local authorities said.
The growth rate was 23.9 percentage points higher than from January through July.
Driven by tax refund policies, travel service exports reached $6.51 million, up 67% from a year earlier.
Boosted by expanded cross-border trade routes, transport service exports rose about 74-fold to $793,000.
Spurred by wider digital adoption, personal, cultural and recreational service exports surged 15.8-fold to $312,000. Other business service exports stood at $7.5 million, up 40.7% from a year earlier.
Qinghai authorities said the province will keep fostering growth drivers including tourism and recreational service exports and shore up weak links in its service trade sector.
