(ECNS) -- The 2026 Guangdong Fashion Week-Autumn Session opened in Panyu, Guangzhou and the Action Plan for High-Quality Development of Guangdong’s Garment Industry (2026-2028) was released both on Tuesday.
Guangdong had nearly 4,300 above-scale textile and garment enterprises in 2025, with revenue reaching 360 billion yuan ($53.2 billion). Garment exports totaled 74.12 billion yuan in the first half of 2026, up 7.5 percent year on year.
Officials said the province hosts more than 20 industrial clusters. Fast fashion bases in Panyu can match supply chain resources in 30 minutes, confirm samples within 24 hours and complete orders in as little as 48 hours.
The plan calls for building innovation centers, promoting AI-aided design and smart manufacturing, cultivating creative design clusters and consumer brands, and expanding market access through cross-border e-commerce and overseas warehouses.
