(ECNS) -- More than 130 billion yuan ($19.4 billion) in funding had been secured for rural construction projects across China by the end of August, CCTV News reported Tuesday.
China’s rural road network now totals 4.7 million kilometers. In Zanhuang County, Hebei Province, more than 40 million yuan ($6 million) has been invested this year in road paving and streetlights, improving access for residents, agricultural products and visitors.
Other rural infrastructure, including water supply and drainage systems, sanitary toilets, household waste and sewage treatment facilities, and elderly-care facilities, has also continued to improve.
