(ECNS) -- The HICOOL 2026 Global Entrepreneurship Competition attracted 10,209 startup projects from 141 countries and regions, with overseas projects accounting for 56%, as the four-day HICOOL 2026 Global Entrepreneur Summit opened Wednesday at the China International Exhibition Center (Shunyi Hall) in Beijing.
The competition drew 13,472 entrepreneurs, with projects in artificial intelligence rising nearly 40% from a year earlier. The summit features more than 600 exhibitors across 23,000 square meters of space. A global entrepreneurship service alliance, bringing together more than 200 organizations worldwide, was launched at the opening.
Since the first HICOOL competition was held in 2020, participating projects have produced five publicly listed companies and 18 unicorns. Winning projects have raised more than 71.9 billion yuan ($10.7 billion) in post-competition financing.
