(ECNS) -- The 2026 China International Fruit Expo (CHINA FRUIT) opened Wednesday in Shanghai, drawing nearly 300 exhibitors from more than 60 countries and regions.
Representatives from major exporters such as Chile and Australia voiced optimism about China’s market, citing rising demand for highquality fruit. A new report released at the expo shows Chinese fruit consumption is shifting from a basic necessity toward emotional and social experiences, driven by higher incomes and wellness trends.
Organized by the China Chamber of Commerce of I/E of Foodstuffs, Native Produce and Animal By-Products, the exhibition connects leading global industry players, highlighting the vibrant global fruit market ecosystem.
