(ECNS) -- The World Organization of Science Literacy (WOSL), officially registered in Beijing in June, will debut in September with 32 founding institutional members from China and abroad, deputy chairperson and secretarygeneral Yin Lin said.
The China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) announced the 2026 World Conference on Science Literacy Promotion will take place in Beijing Sept. 19–21, with WOSL’s inauguration ceremony held during the opening session.
Initiated by CAST and partners like the China Science and Technology Museum, WOSL operates as a global platform for cooperation in science popularization. Moving forward, the organization plans to share China’s expertise in scientific literacy, deepen international partnerships, and enhance cultural exchanges to expand its global cooperation network and influence.
