Puppeteer Mr. Xiao and his puppet performance life (1/9)

Puppeteer Xiao Qiulin presents his puppets for a show in Yudu County, east China's Jiangxi Province, Aug. 1, 2014. Xiao, 65, started making a living by performing puppet shows for local residents since his twenties. With a stage enclosed by a piece of cloth, a set of instruments and several puppets, Xiao could perform a show for his audience all by himself. Now Xiao has recruited several apprentices, hoping that one day he could build a puppet troupe and his craftsmanship could be carried forward. (Xinhua/Chen Zixia)
