Yulong Snow Mountain Ski Resort: Lijiang, Yunnan

 

Recommended reason: China's highest ski resort

 

Best time: November to next March

 

The resort is Located at Yulong Snow Mountain (Jade Dragon Snow Mountain), 20 kilometers away from Lijiang Ancient Town in Southwestern China's Yunnan Province.

 

Yulong Ski Resort has long been known for its pure, unspoiled and natural snow. It is around 4,500 meters to 4,700 meters above sea level and is covered with snow all year around. The ski parks measure 1,000 meters in length and 600 meters in width.

 

Travel Tips:

 

Entrance fee: 180 yuan/person, and 80 yuan/person for coaches

 

Opening hours: 08:00 to 18:00

 

Transportation: Travelers can take a flight from Kunming to Lijiang, and then take a bus or taxi to get to the Yulong Mountain. There are enclosed cable cars to take travelers up to the ski resort.

 

Accommodation: There are all types of hotels and inns in Lijiang ancient town.

 

Food: There is no restaurant inside the resort; travelers have to take drinks and snacks by themselves. However, travelers can enjoy traditional Yunnan foods in Lijiang ancient town.
