Giant pandas in Chongqing Zoo amount to 21

The Chongqing Zoo, in southwest China's Chongqing municipality, announced on Tuesday that there were 21 giant pandas in the zoo, marking it as one of the zoos with the largest number of giant pandas in China.

By 2022, giant pandas in Chongqing Zoo have given birth 30 times, including 13 twins and 1 triplet. A giant panda named Ershun, who once lived in Canada as an envoy of friendship and returned to China in 2020, gave birth to twin cubs at the zoo in late July this year. It was Ershun's first birth since returning to China.
