(ecns) -- The only giant panda triplets in the world enjoyed their feast, a mooncake with fruits and bamboo shoots on Friday to celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival.
The mooncake was a special present from Guangzhou Chimelong Safari Park.
Zookeepers at Yancheng Wild Animal World in Changzhou, east China's Jiangsu Province also prepared special mooncakes for animals. They made Chinese cornbread mooncake for giant pandas.
In southwest China's Chongqing Municipality, breeders prepared melon and fruit mooncake for elephants, and Pumpkin mooncake with carrots, potatoes for hippopotamuses.
The Mid-Autumn Festival, falling on Saturday, is a major occasion for family reunions in China, with the tradition of enjoying the full moon and eating mooncakes.
