Storm Mulan makes landfall in S China's Guangdong

(ECNS) -- The Hong Kong Observatory (HKO) said Wednesday noon that typhoon Mulan had made landfall as a tropical storm near Xuwen County, Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province, and begun to move away from Hong Kong.

Affected by typhoon Mulan, the strong wind No. 3 will remain in many places in Hong Kong.

The Hong Kong Observatory said it will issue No. 1 alert signal when the wind shows signs of weakening.
