(ECNS) -- Sunflowers bloom in Altay, northern part of northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
A "green channel" of electricity for farmland irrigation has been set up.
The flowering period of sunflowers in the Altay area will last until mid to late August.
And farmers are ready to embrace a big harvest.
