US withdraws from Paris Agreement; UN vows unwavering global climate action

The United States on Tuesday officially withdrew from the Paris Agreement. In response to a question from a China Daily reporter, the UN spokesperson said that despite the US decision, the UN's efforts to address climate change, promote a just transition, and support mitigation and adaptation actions for the most vulnerable countries will continue and will not waver.
