Eight provincial museums, including Hunan Museum, China Three Gorges Museum in Chongqing , Anhui Museum, Heilongjiang Museum, Liaoning Museum, Henan Museum, Shanxi Museum and Hainan Museum, reopened on March 24.

Shanghai Museum, which officially reopened on March 13, was the first provincial museum to welcome visitors. So far, 15 provincial museums in China have been reopened to the public. In addition, Shaanxi History Museum and Tianjin Museum will reopen on March 25 and 26 respectively.

All of these museums require online reservation before visiting. Visitors can book tickets through the museums' official WeChat accounts. Most of the ticket offices will remain closed.

Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei Province are still first level response areas for major public health emergencies. Museums in Beijing will not be reopened without further notice, according to the municipal government.
