(ECNS) -- China on Tuesday held online training courses for 200 Mongolian emergency rescuers in Hohhot, north China’s Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region to support the country’s emergency response capabilities.

Four online trainings are scheduled to be conducted within two months. Mongolian trainees will study online first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, trauma care, accidental injuries, common emergencies and other theoretical courses. Online practical training and interactive assessment will also be conducted.

It is very necessary to organize a cross-border training course for emergency medical workers, said N. Bolormaa, general secretary of the Mongolian Red Cross Society. They can provide emergency medical care in time before professional medical workers arrive, save the lives of the wounded and sick, prevent injuries from getting worse, and reduce medical costs, he added.

At the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Mongolia in 2019, China promised to perform 3,000 cataract restoration operations for Mongolians in the following five years, treat 200 Mongolian children with congenital heart disease, train 1,000 emergency medicalworkers, and support the building of its emergency care stations and rescue volunteer teams.
