(ECNS) -- A cultural exchange event celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival was held in Selangor, Malaysia on Sunday, gathering nearly 200 guests to experience traditional Chinese and Malaysian culture.
Organized by Malaysia Friends of Silk Road Club with support from the Chinese Embassy in Malaysia and the Malaysian Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, the event aimed to promote the shared values of reunion and harmony across diverse ethnic communities.
Attendees enjoyed rich performances, including traditional Chinese dance, Malaysian cultural shows, Sichuan opera face-changing, and Chinese orchestra music. The celebration also featured interactive activities such as lantern parades, riddle-guessing, touhu (pitch-pot), and lacquer fan crafting.
Diplomats and cultural officials from both nations addressed the gathering, noting that such cultural and people-to-people exchanges serve as an essential bridge to deepen mutual understanding and cooperation between China and Malaysia.
