(ECNS) -- China won 41 gold, 11 silver and four bronze medals, along with six Medallions for Excellence, at the 48th WorldSkills Competition, which closed Sunday in Shanghai, marking the country’s best-ever performance at the event.
China topped the gold medal table and overall team standings for the fifth time. The delegation fielded 71 competitors across all 64 skill competitions, marking the third time China has competed in every category.
China secured a sixth consecutive title in CNC Milling, a fifth in Bricklaying and Fashion Technology, and a fourth in Electrical Installations, Electronics and Autonomous Mobile Robotics.
He Xiaoman won gold in Rail Vehicle Technology and received the Albert Vidal Award as the highest-scoring competitor across all skill competitions, marking the third time China has won the award. Jiao Jiao, China’s competitor in Autobody Repair, received the delegation’s Best of Nation award.
