WIPO chief: IP rights safeguard human creativity and expression in the age of AI

(ECNS)--The 2026 International Copyright Forum is underway at Dunhuang in Gansu, China. The forum focuses on digital innovation and cultural heritage. On the protection of cultural heritage in the time of AI, Daren Tang, Director General of WIPO said that the rule of IP rights is not to push away those technologies, but to make sure those technologies serve the human spirit of creativity and expression.
