Panda cub makes public debut at Chongqing Zoo

(ECNS) -- A giant panda cub born at Chongqing Zoo made its public debut on Tuesday, delighting visitors with its adorable appearance.

The female cub was born to giant panda Mang Zai on July 27, weighing 187 grams at birth. It now weighs 6.4 kg and is developing well, the zoo said.

The cub has grown steadily under the care of the zoo's dedicated panda-rearing team.

Chongqing Zoo began keeping giant pandas in the 1960s and started breeding them in the 1980s. So far, the zoo has housed 25 giant pandas.
