Built between 1703 and 1792, Chengde Mountain Resort in north China's Hebei Province is the largest existing imperial garden. Covering over 5.64 kilometers, the resort and its outlying temples were inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1994 and are now designated as a national 5A-level tourist attraction.
