(ECNS) -- The 2026 China International Agricultural Machinery Exhibition (CIAME 2026) opened on Monday at the National Convention and Exhibition Center (Tianjin) and is being held entirely indoors for the first time.
Covering nearly 300,000 square meters, the exhibition has attracted more than 3,000 companies and is expected to record over 200,000 visits by industry professionals. It showcases equipment and technologies for agricultural mechanization, smart farming and green development.
Exhibits include conventional agricultural machinery, high-end smart equipment, new-energy agricultural machinery and agricultural drones. The event also focuses on the use of artificial intelligence in agricultural machinery, with accompanying forums and on-site demonstrations covering topics such as mechanization in hilly and mountainous areas and ways to reduce grain losses during harvesting.
Tianjin's overall mechanization rate for crop plowing, planting and harvesting has remained above 90%, while the rate for wheat, corn and rice exceeds 98%, according to local authorities.
The event is jointly organized by the China Agricultural Machinery Distribution Association, the China Association of Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers and the China Agricultural Mechanization Association.
