(ECNS) -- The 78th Frankfurt Book Fair opened at the Frankfurt Exhibition Center in Germany on Wednesday local time. China National Publications Import and Export (Group) Corporation organized more than 80 Chinese publishing and cultural institutions to participate, showcasing the development of China's publishing industry and conducting copyright negotiations and cultural dialogues.
Under the unified image of "Reading China," Chinese publishers set up a 336-square-meter joint booth in the core area of the fair, displaying over 4,600 books across more than 3,000 titles. The booth integrates exhibitions, copyright negotiations, cultural exchanges and interactive experiences, attracting many overseas publishing professionals.
During the fair, Chinese publishers will hold 55 publishing and cultural exchange events, including seminars, author dialogues, copyright signing ceremonies and new book launches.
The Frankfurt Book Fair, founded in 1949, is one of the world's largest publishing industry events. This year's fair brings together over 4,000 publishers from more than 100 countries and regions. It runs until Sunday and is expected to receive over 230,000 visitors.
