(ECNS) -- China’s National Energy Administration (NEA) and the International Energy Agency (IEA) have signed a three-year cooperation plan to deepen collaboration in the energy sector.
NEA Administrator Wang Hongzhi met with IEA Executive Director Fatih Birol in Beijing recently and exchanged views on international energy developments and cooperation.
Wang said the IEA has played an important role in promoting stability in global energy markets and expressed hope for deeper practical cooperation.
Birol praised China’s technological advances and declining costs for helping drive the global energy transition, adding that he looks forward to working with China to promote sustainable energy development worldwide.
