Beijing's commercial rocket Pallas-1 completes maiden flight

(ECNS) -- Private Chinese launch provider Galactic Energy (Beijing) Space Technology Co. Ltd., commonly known as Galactic Energy, successfully sent its medium-lift Pallas-1 rocket into space on Tuesday.

The rocket, Pallas-1 Y-1, blasted off at 10: 00 a.m. (Beijing Time) from the Dongfeng commercial space innovation pilot zone in northwest China.

It marks the first flight of the rocket. It flew normally throughout its trajectory and achieved its test objectives, according to the company.
