(ECNS) -- The Intelligent Robot Ecosystem Going Global Conference was held in Liuzhou, southwest China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, from Friday to Saturday. The event gathered Chinese industry experts and ASEAN representatives to discuss building a collaborative industrial ecosystem and expanding overseas market cooperation.
During the conference, a memorandum of cooperation was signed to establish an ASEAN-focused service platform, alongside multiple overseas orders and projects. These deals cover robot manufacturing, core components, new energy, and smart technology, targeting regions including ASEAN countries and Russia.
Liuzhou is actively developing AI and robotics as a new pillar industry, with output reaching 23.72 billion yuan (about $3.53 billion). In the first half of the year, China’s industrial robot exports reached 6.29 billion yuan, up 18.6% year on year, with ASEAN remaining the top export destination.
Vongpano Sipaseuth, the consul general of Laos in Nanning, welcomed Chinese investment to boost the local digital economy and train tech talent. Experts stressed that global expansion must go beyond product sales to focus on local integration and long-term value creation.
