(ECNS) -- Over 16,000 industrial enterprises in north China’s Hebei Province have turned to e-commerce livestreaming this year to expand their global sales. By early July, these companies had generated approximately 21 billion yuan (about $3.12 billion) in sales through online broadcasts. Notably, many manufacturers are now employing foreign staff to host live streams directly from factory floors.

For instance, Hebei Pingle Grain Machinery, which exports half of its products, started livestreaming in May. Featuring both domestic and foreign streamers who conduct live equipment demonstrations, the company has already secured around 50 million yuan in potential orders.

In a Cangzhou-based company which produces Cold roll forming equipment, nearly 30 sales representatives have been trained as streamers, including foreign employees. The firm has achieved nearly 200 million yuan in sales this year, with 96% coming from overseas. Livestreaming now accounts for 30% of its total revenue, helping to drive the export of local manufacturing clusters.
