Beijing to stop its first Ferris wheel after 29 years (1/14)

Beijing’s first Ferris wheel, also the only one currently in operation, will cease operations on April 29, 2015. Built in 1986, it has been in use for 29 years and carried 9 million tourists, without a single accident. Once stopped, it will remain at its current location as a tourist sight.
