China’s first peacekeeping infantry battalion, consisting of 144 members, lines up after they arrived in a plane chartered by the United Nations at the Jubaairport in South Sudan yesterday. This is the first time that China has sent an entire infantry battalion to take part in an international peacekeeping mission.
