A researcher of the Kexue (Science) research vessel puts down a seismometer into the ocean on the Yap Seamount sea area in the West Pacific, Jan 19, 2015. Kexue has put seven seismometers in the bottom of the ocean around this area. (Xinhua/Meng Jing)
