His team reached the top of the 6,621-meter-high Geladaindong Peak this year. The year of 2014 marks the 60th anniversary of the opening of the Qinghai-Tibet highway. The highway, linking Xining, capital city of Qinghai province, and Lhasa, capital of the Tibet Autonomous Region, is a lifeline for Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. It boosts economic growth of regions along the road and makes lots of people's dreams come true. (Xinhua/Guo Qiuda)
