Panda with rotten teeth in Thailand arouse concern over abuse (1/4)

An online video clip about a panda with rotten teeth at a Thailand zoo has made a splash among netizens who are upset to see the black-and-white bear is badly kept. In the video, Lin Hui, a 13-year-old female panda on loan from China to Chiang Mai Zoo had difficulty in biting into an apple as her teeth were severely worn. Local media Sing Sian Yer Pao Daily reported that the Chiang Mai Zoo had received limited government funding over its panda project, and the food budget for two pandas of the zoo was only 1,200 yuan ($195) every month.
