New site of Yangshao Culture found in C China city(4/4)

An archaeologist cleans a skeleton found in a newly-discovered site from the ancient Yangshao Culture in Zhengzhou, Central China’s Henan province. In the archaeological site covering an area of 120,000 square meters, experts excavated a large amount of pottery pieces, stone artifacts, and other production and life appliances used by human beings. Yangshao Culture, named after the Yangshao village in Mianchi, Henan province, was first discovered in 1921. The Yangshao Culture covers a wide geographic area and has a history which can be dated back to 7,000 to 5,000 years ago. [Photo: China News Service/Yang Zhenghua]
