26,410 fishing boats return to ports in Hainan as Typhoon Rammasun nears (1/5)

A total of 26,410 shipping boats have returned to ports to take shelter from typhoon Rammasun in south China's Hainan province by 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 17, 2014. According to Hainan provincial weatherl bureau, Typhoon Rammasun was 640 kilometers away from Wenchang city of Hainan province at 8 a.m. on Thursday and it is moving northwest at 22 kilometers per hour. Typhoon Rammasun is likely to make landfall in coastal areas along Lingshui of Hainan to Yangjiang of Guangdong province on Friday. [Photo: China News Service / Luo Yunfei]
